This is probably the easiest setup.
The issue was that I looked for the printer driver at linuxprinting.com and it was not there.

I selected ML-1710 driver when configuring and the printer works like a charm.

I did some research (googling), if someone has done any thing else, 
and one of the first few I came across suggested what I did, 
Samsung printers maintain backward compatibility.

DONE !!!
